Downloading
and installing a software player from the Internet
is a breeze if you know the basic steps involved.
Because the number of players, browsers and versions
that exist, it's impossible for us to give specific
window by window instructions, but this page should
be enough to give you a general overview of the
set up process.

Step
1. Check minimum system requirements:
Windows:
¶ Win 95 (*OEM Service Release 2), 98, 2000
or NT
¶ 200 MHz Pentium
¶ 32 MB RAM
¶ Netscape Communicator 4.5 or newer
¶ Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 or newer
¶ 56K modem or broadband connection
¶ Soundcard
¶ Computer speakers
Macintosh:
¶ OS 8.5 and newer
¶ PowerPC processor
¶ 32 MB RAM
¶ Netscape Communicator 4.5 or newer

Step
2. Quit all open programs or applications, except
your browser.
Step
3. Click the download file on the software player
web site. The players we recommend are listed above.
Step
4. Save the download file in an easy-to-find
location on your hard disc -- your desktop is a
good example. This should take a few minutes.
Step
5. Go to your desktop, or wherever you saved
the download file, and open or "run" the download
file to begin the installation process.
Step
6. Fill in the required fields and follow the
instructions on your screen.
Step
7. You should be notified when your finished
installing.

8. Reboot your computer. Once you have done
this, you should see the player icon in your program
tray or Windows Start Menu.
