It really was just a need that I had to read
news and articles about what is going on in the Philippines.
I don't know, I just have this hunger to know what is
happening in Manila and the rest of the country every
hour, every minute. And because of the Internet, we are
now empowered to do just that, check out our home country
anytime we feel like it. When thePinoy.com started, it
was just a page with links to popular newspapers published
in the Philippines. The site grew as we added more links,
we created a Directory
of Philippine and Filipino oriented sites. We added links
to streaming
broadcast and more interesting sections like the 'Pasyal
Tayo' series where we show places and things of interests.
We partnered with technology
companies to provide resources to enhance out system.
With all these innovations that the
Internet and these companies afford us, we've
stuck with our primary vision, to deliver the
latest news and information directly from the
source. We thank the people who have given us
